    A Bad Event Doesn't Mean Bad Tie-Ins. Case in Point. 0

    Rising above the ridiculousness of Spider-Island, Spider-Island: Cloak and Dagger manages to tell a very strong story that just happens to take place during the event. It's a story with such a firm grasp of the characters involved that it is practically begging to be a series in its own right and is, at the very least, owed a follow-up.I haven't exactly been shy about what I thought about the Spider-Island event itself.     Without a doubt, this mini-series was the best thing to come out of Spider-Island. I don't know how sales looked by the end of the run, but it's got both the most beautiful art and the best writing of any book within this mini-event.Top marks in this book goes to Emma Rios, Alvaro Lopez, and Javier Rodriguez, who created the stunning layouts within the covers.     Synopsis: Can Cloak save Dagger from Mr. Negative? -What's Good? I should have learned from Morning Glories that Nick Spencer writing is unpredictable at times. Just when I think I know might happen in this final issue, Spencer brings something completely different that makes this Spider-Island tie-in quite possibly the best one.
