The release of Vol. 6 started at his hometown of Toronto. The Beguiling (Bryan Lee O'Malley's Local Comic Shop) hosted a launch party in their little block of "The Annex area" where the local stores, such as Honest Ed's (which is featured in Scott Pilgrim) helped out. Bryan Lee O'Malley was on site to sign books, judge costumes, also doing a meet and greet with a few lucky fans. Comicvine member "Silkcuts" was on site and only met him to sign a few books, shake his hand and snap a few photographs of the event.

The launch party started around 9 of Monday, July 19, 2010 where the surrounding restaurants of the Beguiling held events. Rocco's Plum Tomato had the movie soundtrack playing. The Central had bands playing. The band Sister was present, which had two members of Plumtree. Plumtree is the band that wrote and preformed the song Scott Pilgrim, which inspired Bryan Lee O'Malley and would be the title name given to his Main Character. Other bands to play were Hurry Hard, Chang-A-Lang and Soft & Wet. At Midnight of July 20, 2010, the books were availble for sale, the preorders were handed out and the signing began. *The Exclusive Print is digest book sized and was available for the first 1000 Pre-orders at the Beguiling. The Beguiling handed out numbered vouchers for their pre-orders.

Is it Really His Finest Hour? 0

This week the final Scott Pilgrim novel arrived in stores and it is titled "Scott Pilgrim's Finest Hour." A very fitting title considering the task that lies before him. However, is this really his finest hour, or has the magic started to wear off.    Now let's start by thinking about the fact that this was the end of an era. Scott Pilgrim really is the comic and hero for my generation, the mid to early twenties (probably late twenties too), that generation that was the first generation to gr...

    Finest Hour 0

The wait is over with book 6 here.  I have to say the I loved Scott Pilgrim and the Ending did not disappoint. All the books build up to his Final Hour. From the Power of Love to Gideon Grave the series was worth the read in every page.  There is a lot going on in this book.  Things all coming together seamlessly and blank pages of void.  Are we like Scott?  In a world like a video game? At times how much we are suppose to take at face value in this book.  I wonder myself if Gideon Graves i...

    Volume 6: Scott Pilgrim's Finest Hour 0

Spoilers to follow (maybe): That really was an amazing ending an amazing series. It seems like everything pays off. Every story thread, every character and every event gets a nice ending. While I am sad that it’s over, at least it’s a pretty happy ending. Scott gets closure with his memories, ex-girlfriends and he gets his closure with Ramona. Everything is explained so that everyone’s actions are much clearer, especially Ramona and Scott, which is good because they are the two main characters ...
