    Sandor Clegane, known as the Hound, is the sworn shield of Joffrey Baratheon heir to the throne and former king. He is the younger brother of Gregor Clegane. He has a large facial scar on his right hand side. He as given the scar by his brother Gregor Clegane who caught a young Sandor playing with one of his toys so he held Sandor's head in a burning braizir.

    After the Battle of Blackwater Sandor abondoned his post at Kings Landing as a king's guard and left abroad. He was eventually captured and tried for murder by Beric Dondarian. He slew Beric and left with Arya from the house Stark to travel to Westeros but a bar brawl resulted in a cut he received becoming infected and he was left to die by Arya as she left for Bravos. His death is unconfirmed but it is presumed he died feverish by the seabed.
