    Raj comics is an Indian comics publishing company based in New Delhi. Also known as "The Home of Indian Superhero Comics", Raj comics is one of India's most popular comic publishers, and has a strong and a cult fan base.

    It was established in 1986 by Rajkumar Gupta and his sons Sanjay Gupta, Manoj Gupta and Manish Gupta. Currently Manoj Gupta is the President, Manish Gupta is the CEO, while Sanjay Gupta is the editor/creative head. Most of the companies famous characters have been created by them. Raj comics focuses mainly on superhero genre comic books.

    Over the years Raj comics has come up with many famous characters including Nagraj, Super Commando Dhruva, Doga, Bheriya, Bankelal etc. Apart from superhero based action comics, Raj comics also publishes light comedy and humor based comics in which characters like Bankelal, Gamraj, Fighter Toads are popular. Apart from these, Raj comics also publishes Thrill Horror Suspense series, 3d comics, kids comics. They also publish knowledge books, Indian mythological and historical figures biographies, fable stories as well as learning books. Raj comics are published mainly in Hindi, but lately they have started publishing comics in English as well as in Indian regional languages.
