Launched on 25th October 1975, Mickey Mouse was a weekly IPC title publishing licensed Disney-related strips for the British market. As well as strips about Disney's various characters derived from cartoon shorts, such as Mickey Mouse himself, the comic also printed serialised adaptations of Disney movies, be they cartoons (e.g. Cinderella or Aristocats), live action (e.g. Candleshoe or Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo), or mixed (e.g. Pete's Dragon), many reprinted from Gold Key's Walt Disney Showcase.
Throughout its run (of at least six years), Mickey Mouse absorbed some of its sister IPC/Disney titles, temporarily modifying its title to reference these mergers, becoming in turn, Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck with #14, back to just Mickey Mouse with #47, Mickey Mouse in Disneyland with #57, Mickey Mouse and Disney Time with #88, reverting to just Mickey Mouse with #116, and ultimately becoming Mickey Magazine with #264. The title came to an end with #280, dated 28th March 1981.
