    Origin

    Little is known about Johnny Spats. A gangster and hitman, he was well known for being able to weasel his way out of any situation.

    Creation

    Algernon Wells was created by Lilah Sturges and Luca Rossi. He made his first appearance in House of Mystery #1.

    Major Story Arcs

    House of Mystery

    A regular at the House of Mystery, to pay his tab Johnny Spats tells the story of the time he had to escape the clutches of Tommy the Neck after Johnny carried out a hit on one of Tommy's kids.

    Powers and Abilities

    Johnny has no known superhuman powers or abilities. He is remarkably resourceful and crafty, and able to slip his way out of any situation. He is a good shot.
