James Kenneth Stephen (1859 - 1892) was historical figure,  a Victorian poet and tutor to Albert Victor. He gained a reputation as a misogynist because of some of his verses.

".I do not want to see that girl again:
I did not like her: and I should not mind
If she were done away with, killed, or ploughed.
She did not seem to serve a useful end :
And certainly she was not beautiful."

Stephen a serious head injury in an accident during the winter of 1886/1887. He then started suffering from serious medical problems and ended his days in St' Andrews Hospital, actually a psychiatric asylum. He died because of "refusing all nourishment". He died only weeks after Albert Victor.
