The original Eagle comic ran from 1950 to 1969. This second volume was launched on 27 March 1982 and ran until January 1994 (lasting a total of 505 issues).
Eagle is an action/adventure anthology comic featuring Dan Dare, Mekon, Doomlord and many more.
The relaunch issue featured a mix of photo and comic strips. The photo strips lasted until 79, when the title was revamped, the paper quality dropped and the comic went full comic strip.
Issue one came with a free gift - a plastic silver 'space spinner' (frisby), attached to the cover.
