    Batman's Odyssey Steps Up Quick After a Weak Start 0

    Synopsis: Batman continues his train flashback and fights a group of completely moronic robbers. Also he gets shot many many times.  The Good: The whole feel of the comic was a significant improvement over the first. Things were much easier to grasp rather than feeling like Neal Adams just dumped a bunch of plot elements into a blender and fired them at a wall. The art is still pretty sweet, it really gives off the 'badass' feel that Batman is all about.  The flashback story was a whole lot bett...

    This is without doubt the most bonkers comic book I have read in a long time.That's not really a complaint or a compliment just a statement of fact.I'll attempt to clarify by saying that reading Batman:Odyssey is a little like watching a horrible accident unfold in front of you but you just can't bring yourself to look away.   The story(lets call it that) begins with Bruce Wayne relating an adventure where himself and Robin go after some criminals who are attempting to steal dinosaur models and ...

    Neal Adams' Odyssey takes a strange turn in a story that has so many holes you could drive a train through it.  When we last left Batman he was defying both Commissioner Gordon and Robin's wishes by ignoring the Riddler's attack on the Mint and instead going after the robbers down at the pier. On page one of this second issue Bruce reveals, to the reader, that he had it on good authority that Ra's Al Ghul is behind the heist at the pier.
