    Name: Ægir. Also Hlér, and Gymir.

    Symbols: The main symbol of Ægir was a large cauldron and gold.

    Area Of Control: ocean, water, and sea storm.

    Usual Image: Ægir was thought of as a tall old man with white hair and beard.

    Holy Books: The Edda, as well as poems and sagas.

    Place Of Worship: Temples, islands and waterside.

    Relatives: Fornjótr (father), Rán (wife), and nine daughters (billow maidens).

    Synodeities: Enki (Babylonian), Lir / Llyr (Celtic), Sobek (Egyptian), Varuna (East Indian), Poseidon / Neptune (Greek-Roman.)
