Fluttershy

Fluttershy is a pegasus pony who is a main character in My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. She is pale yellow with a pink mane and tail, and her cute mark is of three pink butterflies. She represents the element of kindness.

As her name implies, Fluttershy is incredibly shy. She tends to be non-confrontational, and often avoids interactions with strangers. Fluttershy is loyal to her friends, and occasionally overcomes her shyness when the situation requires it.

Her parents are quiet, friendly retirees in Cloudsdale, and she has a younger brother named Zephyr Breeze, a freeloader who just couldn't seem to find direction in his life, due to fear of failure. With Flutterhy and Rainbow Dash's help, he conquered his insecurities and graduated mane-therapy training.

Abilities

Fluttershy has a kind, gentle nature, and is easily able to communicate with and befriend many animals, including Cerberus. She is a caretaker by nature, and often tends to the medical needs of animals.

Despite her shyness, Fluttershy has a powerful maneuver called The Stare; with one look, she is able to make even giant dragons and cockatrice submissive.

Fluttershy is a pegasus, but is afraid of heights. She is a capable flier, but freezes up in stressful situations.

Fluttershy is also a talented musician.

In My Little Pony: Pony Life, she can also changes her own physical size by emotions, she becomes large when she's excited or angry and she becomes tiny when she's embarrassed or sad.

Future

In the series finale of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Fluttershy seems to have a relationship with Discord. When she arrives for the Friendship Summit, she pops out of a dimensional portal, and he hands her a bagged lunch.
