The mark of the Frightful Four!

    Short summary describing this episode.

No recent wiki edits to this page.

The Fantastic Four comes face-to-face with the vicious, Frightful Four. A sinister counterpart of the team, they carry the combined might of Hydro-Man, Wizard, Medusa and Trapster. The team's leader, Wizard, was able to mind-control Thing and force him against his will to destroy the team, including his best friend, Reed. This is the beginning of Season 2's monumental story arc, with three parts.

Note 1: This episode is a direct adaptation and combination of Fantastic Four Issues #36, #41, #42 and #43.

Note 2: Similar to Spider-Man: The Animated Series, the Sandman was absent. He was suppose to be one of the members of the Frightful Four. This is because James Cameron was planning to make a Spider-Man movie (but was scrapped), which features the Sandman and Electro, who were suppose to be the main villains (This was also the reason why Electro was missing in Spider-Man: The Animated Series. Until it was revealed that the film's version was also not that the mainstream counterpart that they made Electro's debut in Season 5, even though he is still not similar to the comics version).
