    It's over? Thanks, I guess.

    THERE WILL BE SPOILERS HERE!

This book contained a holy shit moment for me. That's big because this book hasn't had too many of them in the last couple of years. It's both the good and bad kind of holy shit moment. Mr. Dark has been defeated. I'm perplexed, excited, and annoyed by this all at once. I'm perplexed because he was built up as this bad ass pre-issue #100. If they were going to deal with him, that should have been the place. But no, Willingham and crew kept him around and all but promised he was the *it* bad guy of the title for the foreseeable future.

The whole resolution of the story was iffy at best. So the Wind of the North just picked him up and locked himself and Mr. Dark in a great big ol' box in the sky? That's it? That's the solution? Well, okay. Don't get me wrong, like many Fables fans I loathed Mr. Dark. He's a pretty piss poor villain, especially when considering the glory days of this title seem long ago in the past. The resolution to  the story seemed cheap, though. I'm not sure if Willingham has heard the fan outcry on the title (he's kind of a huge jackass when it comes to feedback, so probably not), but the change seems seismic and sudden.

Will this improve the title overall now that we don't have to be subjected to endless issues of the Fables wringing their hands over Mr. Dark? Only time will tell, but Willingham has a lot of work to do if he wants to keep this title afloat. With no villain of Emperor level importance on the horizon, I'm not convinced he can pull this off.
