    Origin

The Evolutionary Stormtroopers were the High Evolutionary's personal army in his quest to advance the evolution of mankind. Within the army there were "Purifiers" and "Eliminators" who were tasked with dealing with genetic dead-ends such as the Subterraneans, dangerous mutants and drug addicts whereas the High Evolutionary also had scientists and technicians working among them to help study genetics.

    Creation

The Stormtroopers first appeared in X-Factor Annual #3 by Louise Simonson and Terry Shoemaker. As they were part of a large crossover, and only an army of minor henchman at that, it's unclear who exactly created the team.
