Career
Ernst Dabel became involved in comics in 2000 when he and his brothers Les, Pascal and David founded what was then known as Roaring Studios and is now known as
Dabel Brothers Productions. They released two comics that met with little interest before hitting on the formula that has made them fairly successful: adapting popular prose works into comics. Dabel has been personally responsible for acquiring the permission of numerous authors, including
George R.R. Martin,
Robert Jordan, and
C.E. Murphy. Dabel has been involved in editing many of the works released by DBPro. He has also written some of his own work in both comics and prose, including a young adult ebook entitled
Albino, released in April of 2012.
Personal Life
Dabel currently lives in
Atlanta,
Georgia, the headquarters of the company that he runs with his three brothers.
