    I know its established that the Cuckoos are clones of Emma. What I was wondering is are they modified genetic copies or do that also have a male genetic donor.

    Seeing as how there were one thousand clones of Emma, i think it might have been the first one.

    The Cuckoo's are clones of Emma's that were created from Emma's eggs, their 'father' is probably John Sublime.

    LOL...........Perhaps the writer didn't know that Emma wasn't a natural blond. 
    Also IMO it would look too weird. They are supposed to have that freaky clone look of Emma. If she's walking around with blond hair and they aren't it takes away from the effect.
