Yes. read the Torn story arc. if you cannot get the paper back, get issues 13-18 of Astonishing X-Men. You won't be disappointed. I won't spoil it, except lets just say our girl comes out a stronger person for it
The same team in Astonishing is a part of Uncanny, Emma, Storm, Cyclops, Beast, Kitty, Colossus, etc...etc..., they're just another set of stories. Uncanny x-men will deal with all the tie ins and major events, Astonishing is just X-men on missions.
i prefer astonishing x-men to uncanny as it features emma a lot more and i think that the best arcs in astonishing are gifted and torn i liked the emma and cassandra confrontation
