Two-Edge's Promise to Picknose
"The Sword Holds the Key. The Sword IS the Key", is the promise that has sent Picknose into a wild frenzy, ridden with dreams of mirth and glory.
He and several other Trolls are now with the Go-Backs and the Wolfriders, who now begin to hear Two-Edge distant musings through verse.
As Picknose informs Cutter and Kahvi, the elves will need an advantage against Guttlekraw and his forces in their home-territory. Two-Edge wants to see the elves battle the Trolls and will wager that which ever side is victorious is his dominant half, being of both elf and troll descent.
This episode is where we discover that the great Vault does not hold Treasure but is an Armory for the elves, who can now withstand the Ice-Trolls's deathblows.
Before entering the vault, Picknose tries to filch Moonblade from Cutter, but Cutter evades him. Skywise retrieves the key on the hilt of this sword and uses it to unlock the gate of Two-Edge's vault.
Troll and Elf Alliance
Inside the vault, we discover that Vaya's dead body has been dressed in armor and laid to rest besides the suspended form of One Eye, whose spirit at this point is trapped in the elf-body, neither living nor dead.
Here in the Armory, the elf-warriors all dress themselves in the hard metal-skins that Two-Edge has prepared for them.
Two-Edge learns that Picknose is fighting with the elves, and this is intolerable to his insanity, so he pledges to even the odds with future tricks and hijinx.
