A gang of supervillains that answers to Black Cat.
Joined a rival supervillain team in Defenders (1972) #63
Founder and leader of the first Emissaries of Evil, this group consisted of only Daredevil villains who were all seeking revenge. It's possible that the incarnation of this group was inspired by Dr Octopus's Sinister Six.
Team assembled by Chameleon to attack Peter Parker.
Super-villains claiming to be the Defenders to perpetrate crimes
Recruited as another replacement for Medusa in The Spectacular Spider-Man (1976) #42, Electro participated in Wizards scheme on infiltrating the Baxter Building by framing Spiderman and individually taking out the Fantastic Four to gain revenge against Reed Richards. However this plan almost was successful if it wasn't for the escaped Spiderman interfering and managing to defeat the villains alongside the recovering members of the Fantastic Four. Electro was especially useful in capturing Susan Storm, then the Invisible Girl. When Sue tried to flee from the evil FF, Electro carbonized the air around her and turned the blonde girl into a living statue.
Original member, Member of multiple versions
Originally, they were a team of mercenaries and assassins, organized by the original Beetle, Abe Jenkins. Later, the name (minus Sinister) was revitalized by Janice Lincoln (also going by the Beetle) for her female-only crime organization.
The Thunderbolts went through many evolutions: Baron Zemo's plan for world domination, a superhero team comprised of super-villains seeking redemption, Norman Osborn's personal hit squad, a government-sponsored prison reform project, and more. What they had in common was a roster that was always made of supervillains and anti-heroes willing to cross the lines other heroic teams wouldn't.
The Ultimate Universe's answer to the original Sinister Six, this grouping brings together six of the more powerful characters from Marvel's Ultimate Universe into one team.
