Earth 2 3 0

So... about that controversy...THE GOODWe finally are getting our team together, and boy, is it heart pumping. Alan, in his few pages as the new Lantern, is a great one so far, with a few clever quips here and there, and the sad story of his ring. Jay and the new Hawkgirl are interesting players in this game as well, and I'm truly am excited to read more. I was worried how this would go, but now all doubts are gone. We finally get a shot of our first major villain, too. The speed in which this s...

Earth 2 #3 0

THE GOOD: The art is fantastic, Nicola Scott really knows how to draw and I've very happy to see her drawing a fairly big series. I really like the way that the characters look; especially Alan Scott while he is burned. She also adds a lot of detail in the pages it's fun just to look around and see what you notice. The story is also a great part. Alan Scott has survived and now he is talking to a green flame. We also get to see Hawkgirl and Jay Garrick fight a little. I really like the way that ...

u an angel? u an idiot? 0

I was surprised by the twist Robinson gave to The Green Lantern's origin by connecting him to the Swamp Thing. I also loved the art in this issue, especially the Flash-Hawkgirl scenes, Nicola Scott rocks. And the new Grundy... the tweaks made to the character are quite interesting. Please check my mini-review here: and feedback are always welcome!...

The Light of the Green Lantern 0

When reading earth 2 #3 I could not help but think of the phrase “women in refrigerators”, though I’ll get back to that later. So we once again return to Earth 2, a world with no superman, no Batman and no Wonder Woman as the distant threat of an approaching unknown evil has urged various forces into brining new heroes to this world. So let us shed our light over dark evil, for the dark things cannot stand the light in earth 2#3.Picking up from last issues explosive conclusion Alan Scott finds h...

'Till Destiny Do We Part 0

Sigh, I was hoping this trend of weaker issues this week wouldn't extend to Earth 2, but it did. Don't get me wrong, this was not a bad issue, not even as much weaker as the others were, but I was hoping I could give this another 5/5, especially with an Alan Scott focused issue! But I can't.The big elephant in the room was my concern at the end of the previous issue. I'm not even going to spoiler tag it, we find out in the first few pages, and the way the last issue ended there were only two pos...

I'm Talking to a Green Fireball 0

I've been off the grid for a few weeks, had family come to visit, you all know how it is, and that combined with the fact that the nearest comic book store in the area of my summer home is about an hour away, I have to start playing catch up. So where did we leave off with Earth 2. Oh yeah, train wreck. A heavily scarred Alan Scott crawls out of the wreckage (Question: is it just a thing in comics that when you're in an exactly half your face gets scarred?) And, naturally he's looking for Sam, h...

Excellent artwork and interesting character changes. 0

Honesty: I wasn't and am not really hep on the new sexual orientation of Alan Scott. However, I can appreciate how the writer, J. Robinson, is utilizing this as a motivating factor for Scott in his becoming the "jade knight." In the opening pages of this issue, the reader is given the actual origin of Scott getting his powers. Some of the dialogue in this section feels really "hokey," so to speak. By this I mean, the usage of the character's dialogue in place of the familiar yellow boxes. You kn...
