Dryad is planet were lives an intelligent race of silicon based humanoid known as dryadians. The gentle stone people are naturally pacific and can had a symbiotic relationship with the planet. The native dryadians have two different species, one living in the surface of the planet and another living under the mantle. The Green Lantern Brik belongs to the subterranean people.
One thousand years in the future, Dryad would be eventually colonized by human pioneers, who didn't take in account than the planet was already populated. However the native dryadians have no objections against the human settles. They coexisted pacifically several years.
Sadly, the planet was destroyed. Several humans from Dryad survived but only the would be legionnaire Blok was the only native dryadian than survived the destruction of his people.
