Which Dick Grayson did you like more?
1: As Robin?
2: As Nightwing?
3: As The Target?
4: As Batman?
Character » Dick Grayson appears in 9479 issues.
I gravitate towards his Nightwing motif but I'll stand by him no matter what shape or form he comes in.
As long as Dick Grayson stays Dick Grayson in morals, actions, appearance, sexual preference,etc...I don't care what he calls himself. A name and a costume don't make a difference to me.
*NOTE*
before I even catch any heat for saying I don't want Dick Grayson's sexual preference changed in the list of stuff I don't want changed all I am trying to say is I don't want anything changed at all about him. It would bug me just as much if DC made his hair blonde.
i prefer him as Nightwing or Batman (i like him as Batman simply because i like the idea of the student becoming the master or the oldest son becoming the new head of the family).
Blue costume Nightwing. I really liked him as Batman because I thought it was cool to see him take up the mantle of Batman.
@SmoothJammin: @Differentology: Nightwing had a small graphic novel called The Target. In the story a couple of his fellow, corrupt, police officers. (Dick was a cop for a while), were beating up a group of people and Dick tried to stop them but they knocked Dick out and blamed the whole thing on him. Dick didn't want Nightwing getting involved in the case because he didn't want people to think Nightwing was helping a cop who beat up a group of people. So he made a different persona just to clear his name and he would never use the costume again. This persona was called The target.
@SmoothJammin: No problem. and yeah, i almost overlooked this one as well. I found it by accident but ended up buying it. lol its a good read.
I just love Dick Grayson. Robin, Red Robin, Nightwing, Batman; doesn't matter to me. Its the character that's important.
He is Nightwing! Robin is a role for Batmans apprentices which Dick has proven and graduated from into his own hero. I think taking the role of Batman was a good thing because Gotham needs the Bat as a symbol to look over the city even if Bruce can't do it but Dick has his own drives and fears to be his own hero. And I never knew about Target until now, although from what was said he just sounded like a decoy alias.
Nightwing, i didn't like him as Batman nor do I want him to reprise the role at any point in the future. But hes incredibly awesome as Nightwing
Nightwing. I have always been a fan of the robin mantle because it was a stepping stone to bigger and better things for them. Everyone that was robin went on to become there own stand alone superhero. Dick Grayson has stepped out of the shadow and even though he is part of the bat family he became so much more then a side kick.
I like Nightwing the most by far, but I do like how he was able to raise Damian from a rebellious immature kid to a great sidekick when he was Batman.
Nightwing is my most liked! Cause its a mantle inspired by Superman and honors Batman teaching with his methods!
However, I don't care what he is! As long as he's Dick Grayson still! I still love him as Robin(Back when it meant some serious S&*#. Now it's some intern job or something you can graduate from). As a Cop, as a Superhero, as a Mobster, as a Undercover villain, as Batman! He's one of the few character while he's well known for one mantle, he ain't exactly tied down that much like most superheroes.
As DC's version of Black Widow...ala Agent Grayson :D
But Nightwing was awesome too, and his take on Batman was refreshing (though I never wanted it to be permanent).
