You dislike him for being a good person? and a good looking person? As for him being perfect or not troubled. All I can think of is that you have not read very much Dick Grayson. In the new 52 alone he found out he was supposed to be an assassin for the Court of Owls, he lost a female he really cared about Raya Vestri who was working with his other childhood friend(Saiko/Raymond) to have him killed. After turning herself in and telling him she was sorry she was murdered by The Joker. Speaking of The Joker he blew up the circus that he spent his life savings on. He also fell for another lady by the name of Sonia Branch who turned out to be Sonia Zucco. If the name Zucco rings a bell it is because Tony Zucco the man who had the flying Graysons killed was her father. She confessed this to Dick and that Tony was still alive. As a result Dick moved to Chicago to try and bring Zucco to justice which he did. But even that ended in tragedy as a young girl he had grown close to who also discovered Dick Grayson is Nightwing. The Chicago story ends with this poor little girls parents being horribly murdered by Mr. Zsasz. Nightwing takes Mr. Zsasz downn and brings him to Arkham. While at Arkham he is captured by The Crime Syndicate and his secret identity is revealed to the world. During this whole ordeal Dick Grayson is literally killed and brought back to life. Batman asks him to stay dead to complete a mission for him. So he has to stay dead to all the ones he loves. Alfred, Babs, Tim, Jason. It HAS not been easy for Dick Grayson.

When Dick became Batman he had a real crisis of confidence as well. He is a good looking guy but he is far from perfect. He doesn't always win. If you mean as far as the Bat sons go that he is "the good son" or Bruce's go to. I think it is a spot he has earned by being "a good solider."

You have no clue about this character. Flawless? HAVE YOU READ NEW 52? He has no friends except Babs and Bruce. And they both beat him up when he rarely raises a fist at them and seem to generally not appreciate him(from what these panels be making them look like) until something bad happens to them. All his friends betrayed him, no longer have a connection to him, or want to hang out with Jason. He lost the Teen Titans history. His book was just set up for some Bat-Crossovers. He got wringed into a event he barely contributed until the last 2 issues. He was the e damel-in-distressed for Forever Evil and a whipping post and did zip but get beat up. You've got to be kidding me!

As a character, he ain't flawless either. He strives to be perfect in ways he can't be. Before he use to have some sort of daddy issues and is driven to prove himself when he didn't need to. He also has a temper and is a much more emotional character therefore pissing him off is just as bad as pissing off Batman. Probably worse since his anger results in the bad guys dying. Or a circumstance causes their death(most of the time he'll sulk and be sad he allowed it to happen and how much of a fail hero he is).

I can tell you haven't read much of D. Grayson at all. It's so apparent. Either that or you don't pay attention. It's not old news he's been set up to be canon fodder occasionally for whatever event and gets beat up, even though writers want us to acknowledge him as a Bat Equal so other writers can use him as a sub for Batman to not damage his integrity by having new characters kick his butt. Anyone thinking he's flawless need to pick up just about every major Dick Grayson story:

• Robin Year One
• Batman Dark Victory
• Entire Chuck Dixon Run on Nightwing
• Black Mirror
• Life after Death
• Gates of Gotham
• Streets of Gotham
• Traps and Trapeeze
• Night of the Owls

Like all the stories ive mentioned has Dick showing he's aint near flawless at all and occasionally makes mistakes but endures and prowls through. And showcases his awesomeness as a character. Even the first New 52 stories were fine in it's own right. Even If it was tieing into too many of Bruce events.

Being a nice person and looking good doesn't make him a bad character. Damn I'm nice and good looking. But that don't mean I'd be a terrible comic book character based on those 2 things. And that narrows down to like....A LOT of comic book characters.

And I ain't even going to talk about the other (former) Robins cause you don't seem to understand any of them either.

I think you just have a basic misunderstand of who Richard John Grayson is as a character. He is far from perfect and that is why myself and many others love him. I and i'm sure many other Grayson fans would be more than happy to suggest some books if you care to learn more about him as a character. You can ask on hear or DM me and I'd be more than happy to suggest some books for you to see what Mr. Grayson is all about.

The reasoning for disliking Nightwing here is very shallow, and shows a poor knowledge of the character.

He never actually thinks of himself better then anyone else. Read Black Mirror. One of the things that was expressed was that he's a actually caring person. It's never a front at all. He seems almost incapable to being corrupt or having bad thoughts. He's known to be a better leader then Batman for a reason. There's also a reason Superman steps aside and lets him call the shots. Pre-52 stuff here by the way.

Do not come to the Dick Grayson forums with your flawed knowledge of the character and try to start something. It's obvious you were trying to see If anyone could agree. You don't even dislike the character for the normal reason I see people disliking him. He's just like Spiderman....oh wait....it's always been made known you did the same thing to the character. I'm starting to think you don't get the characters who're actually confident and are generally nice people who people in comics want to be with.

Dick is in no way selfish and does not think the world revolves around him. where did you come up with that. Dick is one of the nicest guys in DC. He is superior than Jason Todd who was killed off by the fans in the first place ( not saying I hate Jason he is cool now that he was brought back to life). and Dick told Tim that he was his equal so where in the world did you hear anything about Dick claiming to be better than anyone. ???? i understand that you dont like the character, because I didn't at first, but that doesn't mean you have to bash him with untrue facts

It is really good. It is plagued by a few too many Batman crossovers but Kyle Higgins really understood Dick Grayson as a character and how to write him. I'd put Mr. Higgins right up there with Marv Wolfman and Chuck Dixon as one of the greatest Grayson writers of all time. It is 100% worth reading.

He has his low points and high points. New 52 definitely shows his low points. We praise him cause we like him despite faults, not because he's perfect cause that's so untrue(And that would be boring.).

And you're mention spider-man, the same guy who had his mind switched with one of his rogue gallery for over a year. What the heck would ever make you think they're perfect? One of the most underlying theme stressed over and over again is that their lives are anything BUT perfect.

At this point, I think you're trolling. There's no way someone can be this dense. He has his flaws. So what If he doesn't think he's better then anyone else? He's not a selfish and self-serving character. Sheesh. He doesn't need to be that type of character. If you want a character like that, go read Iron Man or something. I'm starting to think you're bashing this character to either mess with us or the fact that you're a Red Hood fan(judging by your avi and your comments from months ago on Red Hood vs Nightwing(New 52) thread).

It's one thing to not like a characters. That's completely fine. But try to use actual facts. He's been use one too many times to elevate other characters(Connor Hawke, Tim Drake, Jason Todd, Tarantula, Vigilante, and more) and use one to many times looking like Canon Fodder(Death of the Family and Forever Evil are very recent examples of this. DOTF though has everyone getting beat so yeah.) to ever be remotely even called "perfect".
