There is only one Batman, and it's not Dick Grayson.

I like Dick as Batman, it was his only logical step his team mates have taken over for there mentors, Wally for Barry, Donna did for Dianna for a bit, Roy became Red Arrow, and even Tempest was king of Atlantis after Arthur. And if you remember the story of how Nightwing got the name from superman(Nightwing: Year One) Superman told him of a man cast out by his friends and family who rose above it and helped people basically. Well Dick isn't cast out of the family, he's been closer to Bruce,Tim,Alfred and basically everybody in the DCU. He's outgrown the role of Nightwing, Bruce will see that, Dick is an equal.

I agree that Dick is Bruce equal or is going to be. I think people who just like Bruce isn't ready for change.

He's better as Nightwing. And no, he's not as good as Bruce. He hasn't come close to showing himself equal yet. Anyone thinking otherwise hasn't been reading enough comics.

Batman

He's alright as Batman, but I'll remember Dick more as Nightwing.

Dick Grayson is best as Nightwing.

Dick was raised to take over for Bruce when Bruce died. He was raised to be Batman 2. Now he is. Makes sense he stay Batman. Being Nightwing was his immature way of growing up out of Bruce's shadow. I say immature because It was obvious to everyone that he was the first Robin and few take him seriously because he looks like Batman Lite. I think now that Bruce is alive Dick can be Batman in his own way with a suit that better suits him. Something more Batman Beyond/ Nightwing and less heavy cape/ silver age batman blue and grey.

I agree it's the "natural" progression for him to take over the Batman moniker, but I personally will always think of Dick as Nightwing.  It's the same thing with Tim Drake; he might call himself Red Robin now, but he'll always be Robin to me (and my personal favorite Robin, btw).

Nightwing. He wanted to go out on his own, and made a name for himself.. From "Batmans sidekick" to his own self, Nightwing.

Dick isn't Batman. He's just a guy wearing the suit. He doesn't have the mentality to be the Batman.

I think he's doing a great job as Batman. Even when Bruce needed some time off after the fiasco with Bane, Dick did a great job. 
However, I like him as Nightwing.  No one can be Nightwing like he can.

No,Nightwing is way better suits his personality way better Bruce Wayne is an original character and wouldn,t be right if Dick Grayson took his place as Batman

I prefer him as Nightwing. Bruce Wayne is Batman.Even I like Dick as Batman, he should not belong to Bat-Family.Maybe if he create a new persona....?????

Well actually I like him as both really but he just can't stay as Batman forever  because I do believe that there is only 1 Batman Bruce Wayne!! Anyways Im a in between !!

And for some reason people would like to see Tim Drake as Batman.

Nightwing

I agree that Dick is the natural replacement for Batman. But he's not a replacement anymore, because Bruce is back. And Bruce still works in Gotham, too, it's not like he's always somewhere else and Dick NEEDS to stay Batman for Gotham's sake. He needs to train Damian, you say? Why not train him as Nightwing? He did the same with Tim. It's stupid having two of them, how would that work out in the field? Say Batman, Batman and Robin are out on a mission?

"Since when was Dick equal to Bruce? The only people that say so are just plain Batman haters that just want Batman taken down a notch by being replaced. No one who's favorite character is Batman wants him replaced or want him to be one of multiple. It seems Dick is usually the favorite Batman character of people that do not like Batman. "

Personally it doesn't matter to me. I like Dick as Nightwing or as Batman, but I can see why people personally like Dick as Nightwing more. But hey, I also like the idea of Batman Inc. so having two Batmen isn't that big of a deal to me.

Nightwing

I absolutely loved that Dick was Batman for a while. It was a necessary step for the character, and it showed us some great character development on Dick's part.

But leaving Dick as Batman forever just wouldn't work. Bruce Wayne as Batman is one of those things that just doesn't go away forever. But I'm glad for the little time we did see of Dick as Batman.

I only wish that some of Dick's experiences as Batman had been incorporated into his return to being Nightwing. Dang New 52.

I liked him better as Nightwing but at the same time I enjoyed his criminally brief time as Batman. The dynamic between him and Damian was really one of the most entertaining Batman/Robin relationships I've ever read.
