I know it's silly but I think it's possible Disney might lock DP up forever.
Deadpool
Character » Deadpool appears in 3322 issues.
Wade Wilson is a former test subject of the Weapon X program, where he received his regenerative healing factor through the scientific experiments conducted upon him. A prominent enemy, ally and later, member of X-Force. He's famous for breaking the Fourth Wall.
Would Disney put DP in the vault?
Hes a really interesting character, he sells fine and he's relatively popular but he's not an Avenger so yes I can see him being shelfed after Marvel changes their name to Avengers comics next year.

What do you mean?
Disney don't even own Deadpool, and there isn't a Deadpool movie yet?
Disney owns marvel so they could lock him away.
Disney has repeatedly stated that they will not influence Marvel in the least...that's why there isn't anyone from Disney in charge of anything associated with Marvel....the only thing that came from the buy out was Disney being able to put their name on Marvel films and animated series....it's a win win for both companies...Marvel has access to all of Disney's resources and Disney gets money from Marvel

Put there name on the animated series?
THEY MAKE THE ANIMATED SERIES.
Disney produced the new cartoons and there crap.
I actually would like it if they replaced the Ultimate Spiderman cartoon with a Deadpool series, because the guy in the cartoon acts like Deadpool anyway.
That being said I'm not buying any garbage about Disney not touching anything.
I wish Stan would come out of retirement....

they do NOT make the animated series
Avengers: EMH was produced by Marvel Animation and Film Roman
Ultimate Spider-man is done by Man of Action and Marvel Animation
Disney only airs the shows on their network
Disney has stated that they will quote " continue to operate independently in the same way that Miramax did under the Weinstein Brothers." Which basically means that Disney will leave Marvel alone and only step in when controversy arises to back them up. The only thing Disney gets out of it is the ability to use any of there characters in other forms of media like merchandise or whatever and a percentage of profits. So basically Disney saw that Marvel is making all the cash, so they bought it and now they get to make some of that cash too. Seeing as how much money Marvel made with the Avengers film, it was a smart move on Disney's behalf.I know it's silly but I think it's possible Disney might lock DP up forever.

Marvel changes their name to Avengers comics next year? No offense but that sounds like you pulled that out of your arse or read it from a very unreliable source. Where did you hear that? Link please.
Ah my bad. It's difficult to know when people are joking over the internet.@The Lobster : No source it was a joke but it may happen the way things are going.
The Muppets never left. They would bring out television Christmas specials and straight to DVD movies almost once every other year. Plus they'd make appearances all over the place on different talk shows, they had a Statler and Waldorf internet series, youtube videos, and such. You just had to know where to look.I still don't trust Disney.
They locked those Muppets away for a while...
It wasn't till Jason Segal came by and had faith that The Muppets could return to the silver screen and alas it was a critical success and now we have a scheduled sequel in the works, which personally surprised me cause while the movie didn't fail it wasn't exactly a box office success. Alvin and the Chipmunks 3 made 300 million on a budget of 80 million, the Muppets had a 45 million budget and only made 158 million. Not a failure but not exactly a huge success either. I never would have thought Disney would actually be kind enough to grant it a sequel, so that just goes to show that while money is a big factor, if a film (or character) is liked enough they'll keep it going.
Yep, this. This thread, and your responses to people correcting you, insults my intelligence.
ALRIGHT!
Maybe there is no proof Disney has been messing with Marvel but I still think there pulling some kind of crap, there new Spiderman cartoon reeks of Disney.
I think Disneys going to supress Marvels freedom to publish the kind of stuff they want.
IT"S A CONSPIRACY I TELL YOU!
(I noticed things strangly went back to status quo from civil war after Disney bought Marvel, I wonder...
Maybe I'm just paranoid and rambling, but heed my words 5 years from now Logan will be braiding Punishers hair.

Hate when people think just because Disney owns Marvel, they automatically own everything associated with it. Deadpool goes with the X-men/mutant rights, if I'm correct.

Yep, I thought people surely would have realised, seen as everyone (should) knows that the X-Men movies are made by a different studio, and Deadpool was in Wolverine Origins...

That's video is rather awesome :D
Deadpool sells slightly better than the Punisher current run and look what they do to him. His run will end with War-Zone arc and he will be integrated in a team. You can check this linkto see the monthly sales and compare. So yeah, they can lock any character if the sales don't go like they want too. That's what i call business.
