In February, 2016, the highly-anticipated Deadpool feature film, starring Ryan Reynolds, hits theaters all across the country. Entertainment Weekly had a shot from the set, where we get to see Deadpool checking out the scene. We actually get a really good shot of his suit.

Here's the official synopsis for the film:

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Costume looks great. This is one of those films I have very low expectations for, but really hope it surprises me and blows my mind.

If all things go badly, at least we've got a great comic book accurate costume that doesn't look ridiculous in live action.

Can argue about the not looking ridiculous part, but hey its Deadpool, thats not necessarily a bad thing.

Looks beautiful

Think the costume looks amazing; one of the best realizations of a comic book character's suit. With that said visuals aren't enough to pull off this character successfully and while they have the right actor comedy is often harder to pull off successfully than drama so I remain cautious about this particular film at this point. Hoping for the best.

Um.. last time they tried Deadpool they removed his MOUTH. So I am waiting to see what they do first. They had Juggs on screen looking like a dude you might see at your gym.

Meanwhile MCU was able to make Falcon and Star Lord hip. Yeah.

It guys like you why I dislike MCU fanboys like the MCU don't get characters wrong. Destroyer, Mandarin, Malekith, Ronan, Ultron all come to mind.

The folks making this film aren't the ones who made the Wolverine movie.

I think it was Ratner's half-assed way of making Ultimate Juggs since in that version, he actually was a mutant.

Meanwhile, Deadpool looks so damn pretty...The hype is so strong and I can't wait.

If the above are somewhat a departure from what you'd expect it's purposeful. They know the comic character and they have decided to push or pull some elements. Whether you think they work or not is subjective, but the love is there. Even Mandarin. It was risky but it was not because they didn't "get it".

Some of this non MCU Marvel stuff seems just uninformed. For instance HOW IS FIRST CLASS NOT THE O5??!!! *fans self with one of them church fans*

@stahlflamme: I really meant it's not too ridiculous. Like imagine if DC made a live action Martian Manhunter and he's in that uniform where he's basically topless besides his cape and those red straps in the shape of an X. That's what I'd consider accurate but ridiculous in actuality.

Yes yes I know. I say that my X Men experience has been spotty at best with them. I am lamenting the fact that these movies are not MCU
