Wade Wilson is a former test subject of the Weapon X program, where he received his regenerative healing factor through the scientific experiments conducted upon him.
A prominent enemy, ally and later, member of X-Force. He's famous for breaking the Fourth Wall.
Does the sound of an immortal, delusional, psychopath who never stops talking with THREE voices hunting down undead Presidents who want to do bad things according to their personality? If so, get it.
@JonSmith No more voices buddy! But the whole immortal psycopath thing is sitll.. well his "thing".
@Arkhamc1tizen It's better then the last run (and I liked Way's run) and it's full of funny business. Tony Moore (Walking Dead, Battle Pope and Venom) does the art and he rocks at drawing Deadpool. TRY IT (and watch your wallet cry as you add another comic to your pull list... muhaha).
It's probably the best Deadpool series we've had in years....Uncanny X-force doesn't count since that's a team book.
It's a solid book and in the least it's entertaining. It's kind of too jokey, like there's only been one brief moment where Deadpool has been explored as a character, and that was only like....two panels in issue 3, but Brian and Gerry have confirmed that the next arc is going to be very dark and serious and after reading issue 3, I believe them. So that right there is enough reason to stick around. I think it's worth picking up.
Apparently, I'm in the minority, but I hate it. Granted, the last series wasn't doing so great towards the end, but I feel that they have just made it too ridiculous and there is a huge lack of subtlety to it.

You didn't think Strange's whispered words of wisdom were a subtle hint of things to come?
Not as good as Daniel ways run or deadpool in uncanny xforce. I'm taking it off my pull list
Please tell me because I'm honestly insanely curious. But what could you possibly like in Daniel Way's run?
Cause I've reread it from beginning to end to make sure my feelings towards it were both logical and valid.....and it just seems so lazy, unfunny, and a complete bastardization of what made Deadpool a great character previously. It just seems like such a huge step backwards from what was previously a great character.
It is an entertaining read, nothing too special though. I feel that it is taking a slightly more serious approach to the character which is nice to see.
Deadpool punching Abraham Lincoln? I need these comics in my collection. Honestly, I picked up Deadpool #1 because I am a Deadpool fan and I wanted all the issue ones from the Marvel NOW! new direction. I didn't even get to reading the comic until almost a week after I bought it. One read through and I knew I needed to get the whole series of of "In Wade We Trust". I was a big history buff before I ever got into comics and seeing the undead FDR rolling himself through downtown Manhattan yelling, "The only thing you have to fear is. . . Me!" I lost it after that, taking a short break to catch my breathe. Funny enough at that same point I realized I was going to lose some money over this story.
