Wade Wilson is a former test subject of the Weapon X program, where he received his regenerative healing factor through the scientific experiments conducted upon him.
A prominent enemy, ally and later, member of X-Force. He's famous for breaking the Fourth Wall.
He trained for about a decade in Japan with top unarmed and melee weapons experts in the Yakuza. I'd say he's pretty good. Though he can't deflect bullets (that'd just be dumb).
They reveal that Deadpool was in Japan (running from past employers of a job he failed) and started working for a high up Japanese mafia in Deadpool team up #1 Deadpool and Widdle Wade.
