@DeathpooltheT1000: .... Seriously? Are we still doing Chuck Norris jokes? That dude is freaking lame.
Deadpool
Character » Deadpool appears in 3332 issues.

Deadpool: Ryan Reynolds or Jim Carrey?
@ApeKindaBaked: No, i am talking about Chuck Norris as how good he was back in the day, about how even today he is better that Statham, isnt a joke, that guys is being sold as the next Chuck Norris even when he isn as good as Chuck, the guy would get his ass kicked by most of white people on the martial arts movies.
Satham is lucky that always has the luck to work with guy that make him look good, but he has never made no one look good and that is the hardest thing to do in the martial arts movies, i would understand to cast many guys, but Statham isnt a bad ass, he is the Hollywood made English Poor version of Chuck Norris.
I like the guy, but many guys make a better job that him, heck even Fassbender did a better job on Haywire and he is a hell of an actor.
i haven't watched too many Ryan Renold movies, but I love Waiting and he was good in it. Ryan Renold's humor and talkative side in Waiting automatically puts him as a good candidate for Deadpool. Especially since I think he did a pretty good job in being a smartass in that movie as well as being a talkative smartass in the wolverine movie. i would love Ryan to be Deadpool. Plus they said they are Rebooting Green Lantern already. the movie sucked.. theyre just gonna start from scratch leaving Ryan open for the Deadpool character. he even said in an Interview that they are working on a script for deadpool i think.. correct me if i'm wrong. But i do remember him saying that he would love a Rated-R Deadpool movie and it was the only way to do it right. :D

jim carey lost his funniness a long time ago. ryan can pull it off. from the few clips of him from origins hes perfect. AS LONG AS BARAKAPOOL NEVER HAPPENED!!!!

Agree on so many levels.
Jim Carrey? No flippin' way! Jim Carrey is one of the most striking examples of Hollywood being lazy. 'Oh look' they say, 'space for a quirky, zaney nerd and Ben Stiller's busy, let's get that Canadian chap from the Mask' Seriously? He over acts in this kinda role, look at the Riddler in that crappy Batman movie he was in. DREADFUL.
@spiderpool94: I'm not a huge Jim Carrey fan but I guarentaa you he got calls before Ben Stiller lol.

Jim Carrey would suit the humour of deadpool but he's gettin to old
Agreed with this. Ryan Reynolds?...Honestly?.........NO
@SupremeHyperion said:
neither, ryan is green lantern and should not be deadpool, jim is too old and not at all athletic enough. if they were smart they'd pick jason statham, badass and funny.
I love JS but are you serious? If he could some how pull of a ''yank" accent then maaaybe. But when has he ever shown he was funnier then either Ryan or Jim?

@ApeKindaBaked: One problem, Statham cant act and the guys i by far less of a bad ass that people belvies he is, he is a english poor man version of Chuck Norris.
Yeeea Chuck does suck. I mean the dude fought Bruce Lee over thirty or so years ago people should let it go. Walker sucked!! (Even though my mom loved it.) I mean the dude wrestled a bear? Seriously!?! Lost all credibility after that. Jason would mercy kill that old man.
@Guardiandevil83: Say whaaaaa?
Jason couldnt beat Chuck Norris, the main problem with Chuck is how many bad decisions he take with the years and the fact he never knew how to age on screen, he always take roles for younger guys and that made him look bad.
Well he might redeem those mistakes in the E-2. Sloane is really doing his thing with these films as far as promotions and casting dudes to roles that fit them.
Most of the ppl here are probably a little young to remember prime Jim Carrey , before he became a big movie star, and to the person talking about Stiller getting castes before Carrey ... Um Jim is was the highest paid comedy actor of all time and I think the highest grossing also . He's had a couple of flops in recent years and stiller and Saddler have taken over as the most popular at the moment but Jim still lead the way. Anyways, Deadpool without a doubt is partially based on Jim Carrey's sense of humor from the early 90's with a little random pop culture humor mixed in. Go back and watch him on in living color or even his early films pre mask and you'll see how much alike they are.
@DarkKnightDetective: Nope, they do it becuase this is the only thing we have.
Because, the movie is inj a DEVELOPMENT HELL!!!!
Ill e the lone one i suppose
I could see Jim Carrey play him if he acts the way he did in The Mask
But Rynalds is ok to.....
Ryan Reynolds knows how to strike a balance between serious and funny...plus he's in grat shape already. Carrey? Guy is too much farce....I can't picture him pulling off Deadpool.

we all know that ryan reynolds couldnt act his way out of a paper bag, even on a good day. jim carrey on the other hand is funny as hell and can play serious roles if teh script calls for it. he was on IN LIVING COLOR for crying out loud.
winner: jim carrey
loser: ryan reynolds and people who think hes a good actor

that sir earned a follow :-)
I can't imagine Jim Carrey getting beefy enough at this age to do it but... when I think about The Mask... somehow this idea doesn't seem so far fetched (if only the movie was made about 2 decades ago)
@Mega_spidey01: Since when this guy became funny enough?
Also i have said this millions of timse , SCOTT ADKINS!!!!!
What? Ryan sucked in origins he's an okay actor but he doesn't have that insanity that deadpool has, Ryan just has a mouth. And Jim? Not now maybe in his prime if he buffed up... He has that insane quality that would fit deadpool

As harsh as this comes off, I agree with you. Carey had that unpredictability that is a must have for Deadpool. Reynolds has the better wit though I think.
