It's catching
Now into the second issue involving the Challengers of the Unknown, some things are clearer now as compared to the last issue. The thing which is most clear unfortunately is that this is not all that well written at the moment as the story is a bit too much of a pastiche of adventure comics or movies mixed in with an inexplicable reality tv show format. It is a little frustrating, because each of those individual parts seems like it could have a lot more meaning and relevance, but combined together as it is, the mishmash is not very entertaining. Here the team ventures to Germany where they recover another talisman, but with the predictable end result of having to fight the animated statues guarding the entrance. Meanwhile the two scientists back at the base researching the other talisman have no real comprehension of what they are doing, let alone what they are researching. I will probably see this out, but I don't know if anyone else should.
