I suggest looking at Mortal Kombat 9 which was outstanding as a beat 'em up, and NetherRealm studios know their way around those, so I have faith in their workings, and the character designs look pretty cool. The New 52 costumes add a more armoured and battle-ready style rather than ridiculous and impractical.

The Superman outfit does look alot like the earth 2 counterpart.

After mk3 i just couldnt take the suckiness of the mk franchise anymore,it was all about tekken then i mean it got to the point where the only good thing was the fatalities and even then that got boring after a while.Mk vs DC only could hold my interests for about a week. So basically if its a fighter and its not a new tekken game im not interested.

Kinda surprised Harley's in it. I thought they were gonna go the MK v DC route and pick the most main stream characters. Don't get me wrong Harley's mainstream but not as much as the others/

@JoEy9090: Apparently there is going to be at least as many characters as there were in Mortal Kombat 9 which was 28. DC is definatley going to have to pull from more than just the mainstream to fill out the roster which is a GREAT thing (though Harley is pretty mainstream)!

@noj: Sweet, don't get me wrong I love that Harley is in it, it's just I meant the extremely mainstream, like your batman, flash, Joker, and Super Man just to name a few. Hoping for an appearance by Black Canary, Starling, Captain Boomerang, and Poison Ivy though.

@JoEy9090: i hated mk vs dc but mk 9 was awesome...so this should be too...and why r people complaining about the fact that the flash didn't die when superman punched him into the upper atmosphere, i mean its just game mechanics..lol

They couldn't have picked a worse developer to handle the DC license. Character designs look really strange and the gameplay itself just looks like any generic fighter.

From what I see though many characters' look ( especially Batman ) influenced by outside sources rather than comics look.

Looks pretty cool. Personally, I loved MK9 so this should be pretty good. Don't like wonder woman outfit though.

Batman face is stupid.

I love how characters will have amazingly powerful moves (I'd assume this is their equivalent of X-rays) such as Superman's uppercut into orbit and smash back down to Earth. However, did anyone else noticed it looked like Flash was going to get up barely after landing from such an attack? I get it's a video game and realism isn't required (Batman sending Grundy packing with a jump kick, lol), but it would be cool to see these moves take a toll on their target as well. That minor thing aside, their work on Mortal Kombat 9 was incredibly impressive and I have high hopes for this.

pls pls do make wonder woman costume more better than Mortal combat V.S DC.I remember they made her butt and boobs big and I didn't like that. We didn't get to know much of her about her through the dialogue and she was kinda boring.

UMVC3 was a pile of crap now this game looks crazy fun.

They stole the intro from MvC3. Can we get a sequel to last year's epic MK instead? That is what the people really want to see.

This sounds like a dream come true. So tired of having to play Mortal Kombat vs DC and Marvel vs Capcom and pretending the other characters don't exist. Comics are tailor made for a fighting game, should be fantastic.

YAY,i love dc WAY more now,dc stuff can always be turned into a good game (if the people have sense),

dc FTW,but i also like some things about marvel,but dc way more,but i think these are armored suits except for supermans,not primary suits

For one UMK3 was awesome, MKDC was pretty good but hated mostly for dumb reasons like "not even gore" but the gameplay was pretty good, MK9 was just 10x better. And MK9 sold more then MVC3, nuff said. MK: SM was also a good game. Clearly you haven't paid attention to what a good fighter is of late. All Tekken's are the same thing pratically, no change and rather dull and too technical. Tekken can't hold a lick to MK, maybe in Japan but they don't play any american games so..lol. MK9 won fighter of the year last year by several sites, mags and such. When was the last time Tekken game won that? Like never or forever ago lol and mind you I'm pretty certain both MK vs. DCU and MK9 sold way better then Tekken 5 and Tekken 6...

Concerning the topic, this game looks boss. Can't wait. I do hope they explain though why the heroes are apparently rogue or evil, whatever. And why and how is Batman able to kick Grundy thru 2 buildings?

Costumes wise, love the whole new 52/modern influence of MK team with the armor. AWESOME! It's hard not to be excited for this game if you're a DC fan or even comics fan. I'll take photo realistic looking comic fighters over that anime looking crap any day. Just my preference.

But in terms of actual fighting mechanics, MK9 was probably the worst mainstream fighter last year. Plus sales don't decide quality, nor does reviews. While I don't like Tekken (3D fighters kill me, but even saying a fighting game is too technical is just sad) UMvC3 is the superior fighter and superior licensed game, lol.

If they put as much work into this as they did MORTAL KOMBAT. This could be pretty cool. I'm just not really big on fighting games.

This looks incredibly stupid, but amazingly fun.

I hope they release the characters in their iconic costumes. A pre New 52. Because New 52 is an abomination and pure garbage. I liked the way they looked in MK vs DCU. Hopefully it will have all those characters like Deathstroke, Lex Luthor, Captain Marvel, Green Lantern, Catwoman & Darkseid.

I wonder what characters will be used. Sad thing is I don't see Deathstroke coming back. That's a bad thing, and I'm not interested in seeing Harley as a playable character.

@BigPromise: They are all prominently similar to the New 52 costumes with more detail. Batman has his armoured look as does Flash and Superman is boasting the full blue tights with the red underwear.
