Is Red Son the greatest 'Alternate Universe' comic ever?

I'm reading this for the third time in about a fortnight right now, and I just can't get enough of it.

It incorporates so many characters in different ways, tells an unforgettable story, and has some great moments....I think the only other AU comic that I've liked so much is 'Old Man Logan'.

What do you guys think?

It's good, but it's not the best.

Does The Dark Knight Returns count as alternate universe? Or Days Of Future Past?

@calvalier: I'm sure if you look it up the characters from those stories will be from a separate universe, so that's 2 that are already better than Red Son!

Red Son isn't even the best Superman Alternate Universe Story! All Star Superman is.

I haven't read it, but I hear it's good.

I like Justice Riders. Anyone else like that?

Dark Knight Returns is the best AU story in my opinion.

Not for me. The best alternate universe story, in my opinion is the Ultimates 1 and 2, which funnily enough is also by Mark Millar.

Come to think about it, Millar actually writes alt-universe stories very well. Ultimate X-Men and Fantastic Four. Red Son. Old Man Logan.

I have both sitting here and as much as I love Kingdom Come, I think that Red Son stands up just as well. Or maybe it's just Batman's hat.

It would definitely be in the Top Ten ... maybe even the Top Five ... I'm kind of hoping that one day they'll do an animated version of it. That would be sweet.

The sphincter muscle surrounding my butthole tightens with pride as I will proudly announce my love for All-Star Superman, and Superman: Last Son of Earth...oh and Red Son...wait..one more..Earth X.
