There's been many artists on Daredevil through the years. Some of them have given a defintive styles to ol'hornhead but which artist is the one that is the definitive daredevil artist.
Well to me personally it's Gene Colan.  Which artist do you think is the definitive daredevil artist?

I made a thread about this and put Colan on the list above Maleev.People didn't like it.Colan's DD is awesome to say the least.Being someone who has actually read every comic from #1 to #508 Colan's art is what I remember most about Daredevil Vol.1.He did alot of the art for my favorite arcs.

Frank Miller at #1 (with a nod to Klaus Janson), David Mazzucchelli #2, and John Romita Jr at #3 are the definitive Daredevil artists I'd say.

I think Marko Djurdjevic deserves a nod as well. He just did cover art, but he did the best covers. As for interiors, JR.Jr, Alex Maleev, Frank Miller, and Roberto De La Torre are my favourites.

David Mazzucchelli, Frank Miller, and Scott McDaniel (when he used black lines) all left their mark but Gene Colan was THE artist.

If I had to pick one, I'd have to say John Romita Jr.

David Mazzuchelli, Gene Colan, John Romita, John Romita Jr., Alex Maleev. Plenty of people have done great work drawing Daredevil, but I think these are the guys who truly made him theirs.

I'd have to go with Gene Colan and Frank Miller in the past.
Joe Quesada, Alex Maleev, and David Finch come to mind when I think of the best artists to take on DD in more recent times.
I have to give a mention to David Mack as well for the addition of ECHO.

I don't know if I can say definitive but my favorites are David Mack, Alex Maleev, and Frank Miller. I also like the more cartoony style so I also like Samnee

The "definitive" Daredevil artist for me has got to be Maleev. It's so moody and sleek looking to me, I love it. Colan is good too, and so is Lark. Hell, I'm even enjoying Samnee during this current run and I also wouldn't have minded if Allred continued for more than one issue.

Confession time though: never been huge on John Romita Jr.'s art. I tolerated it during the better stories like "The Man Without Fear" but to me his art has just been on a steady decline throughout the years (seriously it's getting worse just look at the current Captain America run). Oh, and Quesada's art is meh to me as well.

Dude, Daredevil has had a lot of great artist! I would have to break it down to eras. Gene Colan was the defining of the 60s. Frank MIller for the 80s. Quesada for the 90s. And Alex Maleev for the modern era. I'd give JRjr an honorable mention.
