Earlier in the Fans against Waid thread I posted this link - http://www.bleedingcool.com/2013/10/23/the-end-of-mark-waids-daredevil/ - It hints that it's likely that the series may come to an end. Then Chris Samnee just posted a DD image on instagram and said "For those wondering about the fate of Daredevil, here's the cover of #36-- the final issue."

So is this confirmation that the current Daredevil run is finally coming to an end? The first thing I thought of is the recent news of Kevin Feige talking about a Daredevil film.

“We’re trying to figure out what to do with Daredevil now,” explains Feige of the long-awaited reboot, before whipping up speculation by musing that, “Punisher could show up at one point.”

“You know, once we get characters back into the Marvel fold we don’t want to do something right away,” continues Feige. “We want to do the smart thing at the smart time.”

I think that Marvel Studios are very much going to put together a dark corner of the Marvel on-screen universe, and that if the series is ending it's to reintroduce the dark Daredevil we all know and love... Maybe

I think new DD fans would like a darker tone if they are introduced to it.

I like both light and dark stories so I'm fine with either take on DD.

They're probably going to relaunch it for a sales bump. Waid haters shouldn't get their hopes up

Exactly, I don't see what people complain about? The lighter tone fits him well.

I would have to disagree with that. I think DD and Punisher are those unique Marvel characters that are darker in tone. His story's have been more complex and mature. Now he's just like Spiderman. I like characters to be their own, and Daredevil should be Daredevil, not spiderman

@gor724: No, he's not. He's still Daredevil, the stories are lighter toned. I get where you're coming from though.

That's funny cause I was thinking the same thing. Just a couple of days ago he also said we will see Daredevil in the not so distant future

If this is another relaunch that takes away a good comic im gonna be really pissed off. I hate now that every f$ckn comic is now a #1 relaunch

A few things...

1. Is "Marvel Now" really like .... a thing that matters? In other words, it's not like a separate universe or anything, so why would a book have to "relaunch" to be part of Marvel Now? I hadn't really looked that closely, but I just assumed since DD started at issue #1 just a few years ago that it was already Marvel Now approved.

2. What is the flappin' deal with comic books these days? Do they not realize how the idea of "Issue #1" doesn't really mean anything when you have a new #1 every few years?? It's kind of embarrassing. I assume it's some weird ass-backwards way to jolt sales, but, at what point are they just going to have a new issue #1 ... every month!?

Like, let's assume they are changing authors, whyyyyy would they need to reboot the series for that!? Books change authors all the time!!

3. I'm gonna be pissed beyond pissed if there isn't a new series launching IMMEDIATELY after issue 36. The only reason I started reading Daredevil was because they were already cancelling my beloved Scarlet Spider. This is why I ignore comics for months at a time... as soon as I start buying something the bastards cancel it!! What happened to the days when comic books could run well into the hundreds?!?!

True, but with Captain Marvel they were quiet with this they're blantently saying it's ending but you could be right

I think BOTH takes work well with DD. I wouldn't mind seeing DD getting TWO books monthly highlighting the contrast with the tone.

I've been a big fan of Waid and Samnee. I don't understand all the hate, the series has been nothing but quality since #1.
