Daredevil #6, an Original-Sin Tie In!
(My review for Daredevil #5.) Marvel's Original Sin series is revealing a lot of hidden secrets to our favorite Marvel heroes. What secrets will be revealed from Daredevil's past?
Secrets revealed! So far, I've enjoyed the tie-ins that have come from the Original Sin series. And with this Daredevil series being one of my favorite books by Marvel, I had very high hopes for the story that would tie-in to, Original Sin. I can rest easy knowing that the Daredevil team has pulled off another awesome issue!
Briefly, this series main artist, Chris Samnee, did an amazing job on the cover for this issue. The simplicity of his cover, and how Daredevil and his mother standout amongst the other nuns is quite amazing. I've always loved the covers that come out from this series, and this issue's cover is definitely worth hanging on a wall somewhere. Now, on to the next portion of the review!
This Original Sin tie-in story was amazing, and well written! Daredevil's inner monologue throughout this issue really drove it forward, as it should! His thoughts on finding out about his mother and how his father wasn't a "Good man." is quite interesting to read about. The fact that Daredevil is having to dig deep into the evidence against his mother, and uncover answers as to "Why?" exactly she's going to prison is an enjoyable experience. I always enjoy how the writers handle Daredevil in this series, and take the reader on a journey of all the natural senses, that they will not soon forget. Daredevil is pushed physically and mentally in this issue, and the few secrets that were revealed about his mother is only the tip of the iceberg!
I don't always recommend reading tie-ins with big story arcs like Original Sin, but this tie-in should [without a doubt] be followed! Give it a try, and I guarantee you'll be immersed in the experience that the Daredevil team creates!
