WonderCon 2012: Dan DiDio
THIS is the interview I saw, I walked through the DC booth and saw this as I walked by. Cool.
I prefer Wonder Con in Anaheim. Closer to me and where I live, drivable distance. As apposed to San Fransisco which is a plane trip and I got super duper sick the last time I went to Wonder Con there.
I'm looking forward to Dial H, when does that start?
Curse you DIDIO! CURSE YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
(Breath)
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
I really don't get why people hate Dan DiDio. He seems like a super nice guy and that he's trying valiantly to balance the creative and business sides of DC. I could be wrong, I guess, but I don't get it.

I think its just hard to be someone in his position. You will always have people hating you because of the nature of your job, and chances are you will probably make some mistakes down the line. Dude seems like a nice guy though, its just really hard to balance the creative and business side. Can't keep everyone happy.
I get why people he works with say his enthusiasm is infectious, just sad he isn't a good writer himself. While separating him from comic writing and having him focus on business and motivation would probably make a lot of people happy, I doubt a man like him (big time comicbook fan...with power) would want a job like that. (Kinda like being an bonafied astronaut but not being allowed into space)
It really is amazing how wonderful his enthusiasm is. Hell at the panels I saw him talk I was totally taken in by it. But yes like others have mentioned here, in the end its just too bad his writing isn't on par with that said enthusiasm.
