Cyclops
Character » Cyclops appears in 11232 issues.
The first X-Man, Scott Summers possesses the mutant ability to fire powerful concussive blasts through his eyes that act as a portal to another dimension full of the force that makes up his optic blast. He is visually distinctive for the ruby quartz visor he wears to control his devastating power. A born leader, Cyclops succeeded his mentor Professor X to command the X-Men.
Who do you think are Cyclops best friends?
Beast was his best friend, but obviously the two have had a bit of a falling out. Hopefully they patch things up in the future.
- Hank, pre-Hank being a sanctimonious douchebag
- Wolverine, pre-Schism crap
- Emma Frost, most likely before the end of Schism where she'll no doubt betray him because Aaron's a hack
- Jean, when she's not being a psycho or a terrible wife, but she's usually one of those.
- Storm, providing she's not being a sanctimonious twit.
- Bobby, when the writers remember Iceman is a character
How dare you speak bad about Hank!

If it were up to poorly-written (aka sanctimonious douchebag) Hank, he'd have spent the last few years fruitlessly looking for possible ways to reverse M-Day as every mutant on Earth died. How dare you speak bad about Hank!

Why? So far, he and Wolverine in Schism seem to be good friends and they clearly respect each other a lot.
Emma I'd imagine, being they are in a serious relationship...god knows I give the illusion of being my girlfriends best friend :0
Probably the other original X-Men, and most of the second team minus a few
Pretty much this.

This mistake has been rectified.

Eh probably Emma Frost he is always with her no matter what, all the time every second of the day. Kinda makes me sick
Most commonly his closest friends are
Emma - romance aside she is probable his closest confidant right now
Warren - has been for a long time
Jean - Probable his closest friend until their marriage broke apart and she died
Hank - Is still a friend but left because he felt the X-Men were becoming too much like a mutant army
Bobby - like others have said when they remember he was one of the original X-Men (Bobby gets no respect)
Logan - The have been rivals over the years and that has developed into friendship
Storm - There is a friendship but it has from time to time been pushed aside due the demands of leadership
Havok - I would say he friends with his brother but like many families they don't do well together for extend periods of time
Emma (especially now)
Beast (before their fight)
Iceman (if he ever gets back in the X-Men)
Angel
Wolverine (They have a love/hate relationship)
Storm
Leading and ensuring the survival of the entire mutant race takes its toll folks. Big boys like Cyclops have quite a bit on their plate like keeping his species alive and banging Emma Frost. Tell me you wouldn't want his job?
I agree with you folks for the most part. Hank, Bobby, and Warren are probablly his best friends up until pretty recently. I would really like to see some sort of reaction from Hank, Scott and Bobby to the fall out of Warren's actions currently in X-Force. I know X-Force is supposed to be a secret, but it's kind of hard to hide blowing up a town. BTW does anyone remember who Scotts best man was when he and Jen got hitched? I would imagine Alex, but I can't recall of the top of my head. Actually? who made up the wedding party in all?
Scott's BFFs:
Otherwise he has kept himself aloof from the rest as befitting an officer. Friendly but not friends. Even those he sees as equals and has tremendous respect for (e.g., Storm, Steve Rogers) he doesn't really become friends with.
And then of course there are his romances (e.g., Jean, Emma) and his familial relationships (e.g., Havok, Corsair) that are more complicated.

I agree with everything you've said here. Beast has been such a douchebag since right before 2nd coming. It's such a shame too because he was such a great character before that.
he pushed people away so i dont think he has friends just teammates that has his back and emma his girl
- Jean is dead
- Warren is about to be dead.
- Beast now hates him.
- Wolverine wanted to kill him
- Iceman ditched him
- Storm only stayed with him to prevent him from becoming a total villain.
- Colossus only stayed with him because the Juggernaut is too dangerous to be around kids.
Cyclops has no friends, just cannon fodder underlings and reluctant bodyguards.
Hank was always his best bud wasn't him? Warren, Bobby and obviously Jean. He got close to Wolverine in time. Colossus and Gambit (I remember a panel when they share a broment heh)
He used to consider Hank his best friend with Warren in second. Nowadays, I'd guess it would be Emma.
Currently i'd say Emma. Before Schism however I definitely would've said Wolverine in a strange, but obvious way. Too much was said during their fight for them to really be considered friends now.
His d*ck. The most important decisions in his life are based on pleasing his best friend "little-big scotty". Nyehehehehehe!
Seriously, I'd have to say Hank, Angel and his brother Havok....
I'd be willing to say Hank. Warren and Bobby count as well, because they grew up together, but Hank is always been there. Except for now, they're falling out. But that adds to the drama. I really hope Emma doesn't stab Scott in the back. I like what she does to him as a character.

Emma isn't gonna do anything to him.
Nightcrawler is a good choice too. But i feel that Wolverine fits that bill more. After Scott mediocre eulogy for Kurt in Second Coming (he was brother, we'll miss him all), Logan's topped it immensely. With blood dripping from his claws, he says "Kurt was the only person that ever looked me in the eye and spoke to me as a man and not an animal. He was my best friend, and now he's gone." Then he looks at Hope and screams, "you better be worth this I swear to God!" To add to this it was a combined effort from Scott and Logan that did some massive damage to Bastion. Kurt saw the true side of everybody. I miss him. I'm happy the AoA version was with the X-Men for a bit, but it's not the real Kurt. He's too rash, too anger. Kurt was compassion, and hope, and belief that no matter how dark the night got, the morning would still come in a few hours. *Wipes a tear and goes looking for Nightcrawler tribute forums)
