Why havent they made him some  ruby quartz contacts?

duel function of the visor is that he can control his optic blasts to a fine degree, 
as Ab here says, it acts as a shutter as well.

Does He Still Hav To Push A Button Everytime? Kinda Disables 1 Arm.

Does the optic blasts come from his pupil or his whole eye?

yes but what if they were able to let controlled amounts of the blasts through but still stay on?

If he had ruby quartz contacts then his eyes would be damaged the ruby quartz is to heavy and to wear contacts your eyes dry out so he would need to moisturize them which means he needs to open his eyes with out a visor

you would of thought by now they would of been able to make something like this for him  that would work with all the brains of the xmen on it , as for finding out if its his whole eye or just pupil should get kitty or hulk to have a look
