Yesterday we reported rumors that Harrison Ford might be teaming up with Jon Favreau for the movie adaptation of Cowboys and Aliens. While rumors were certainly running wild, nothing had been confirmed--until now, that is. Iron Man director Jon Favreau took to his Twitter feed to reveal that Ford will in fact join the cast of Cowboys and Aliens. The film will be an adaptation of the graphic novel of the same name, written by Fred Van Lente and penciled by Dennis Calero. This is fantastic news for fans of the series! Are you looking forward to Ford's return to the big screen and to the sci-fi genre?
We caught up with Dennis Calero, the artist on the series to get his perspective on the casting choice:
I am sure fans can agree with Dennis that they hope the film adaptation stays true to the graphic novel. Are you looking forward to Ford's return to the big screen and to the sci-fi genre?"Having Harrison Ford star in anything I'm connected to is an amazing and strange honor. I hope the movie retains the same sense of adventure, fun and humor!"
