Comic Cuts was a 3006 issue magazine format series, published in the UK from May 17 1890 to Sept 12 1953.
Originally started by Alfred Harmsworth and his company Amalgamated Press (AP) as a reprint series of American strips, it grew into a British institution.
The series survived mergers with other series, such as Golden Penny Comics (Feb 4 1928), Jolly Comic (Nov 4 1939), and Larks (May 25 1940). In 1953, Comic Cuts merged with Knockout and ceased publishing under the Comic Cuts name.
