Tess also became the second operator of the Watchtower and a member of the Justice League, but was murdered by her own brother. Months later, it was discovered that Tess's spirit is caught in Lex's mind and was freed by her friends later.
Whitney Fordman was Lana Langs first boyfriend and left Smallville to join the United States Marines. He belongs to the continuity of the Smallville TV series, and had a brief cameo in Zack Snyder's Man of Steel film.
