Cherry Blossom is the daughter of a woman who served on a secret all-woman strike force for the Hand known as the Nail. She is a seventeen-year old girl that refuses to speak English, only speaking her native Japanese. Her mother and every member of the group was killed on their last mission. Almost two decades later, the Hand came under the control of Daredevil, who decided to reform the Nail. To that end, he found the descendants of various Nail members and offered them a place in the organization. Cherry Blossom was one.
When Black Lotus challenged Colleen Wing for control of the team, Cherry Blossom sided with Wing because she was one of the few people to be nice to her and she helped Wing escape. She left the Nail and the Hand with Wing.
Creation
Cherry Blossom was created by Jason Henderson and Ivan Rodriguez in 2010 and first appeared in Shadowland: Daughters Of The Shadow # 1.
Abilities
It is unknown where Cherry Blossom has acquired above-par skills with with weapons most notably three-section nunchakus, swords, and her sharpened hair pins. She is also extremely adept with computers.
