" @Vance Astro: Oh I agree Charlize would definately fit the bill.. but I think Rebecca Romane would do a good job too. "Rebecca Romajin is hot,but she was already Mystique.Don't you think it would be kind of weird if she debuted as Ms.Marvel? In all honesty I think directors would offer the part to Ali Larter. She's young, she has experience playing a hero, and although she's not A list she's a new face. She's an upcoming actress.
Carol Danvers
Character » Carol Danvers appears in 4390 issues.
After encountering the Kree hero Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers was accidentally subjected to otherworldly radiation that transformed her into a superhuman warrior. Calling herself Ms. Marvel, she established herself as one of the most powerful and prominent heroes and respected member of the Avengers. She has now adopted the mantle of Captain Marvel for herself.
Who could play Ms. Marvel in a live-action film?
i want heather graham as Ms. Marvel she looked good in the american woman music video...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Z_fsdWYXMA
" Ms. Marvel aint a spring chicken.. "Granted...but people age different than characters.
"she was depicted as an alcoholic semi aged drunk lose woman in the 90's..... i think heather graham could look more attractive then how she was depicted back then.. it looks like more recently artist have de aged her quiet a bit...
"
EDIT:
...........
None of these actresses are a good enough canidate for someone so womanly like Ms. Marvel. I say an unknown.
Theron is the best pic in this thread. she brings more acting and presence to it than any of the
others can even hope to, and thats the number one factor, everything else can be worked out.
dude, scarlet is doing the iron man and avenger films, charlize would be good for the part and so would yvonne. either one of them could do it, more likely it would probably be yvonne stahovski because her career is barely taking off

" @Nova`Prime` said:Eartha Kitt..." @Vance Astro: Why you gotta bring race into Vance.. you're always sturring the pot. :P "Because Ms.Marvel is white.Changing races doesn't work (see.Jessica Alba,Halle Berry,& Michael Clarke Duncan) for proof. "
And ummm Jessica Alba is half white.
A better reason would be that beyonce can't act.
" @Vance Astro said:Half white isn't 100% white. So I don't see how that has anything to do with what I said.If you never read anything about Jessica Alba you would have just thought she was Latin and nothing more because that's how she appears." @Nova`Prime` said:Eartha Kitt..." @Vance Astro: Why you gotta bring race into Vance.. you're always sturring the pot. :P "Because Ms.Marvel is white.Changing races doesn't work (see.Jessica Alba,Halle Berry,& Michael Clarke Duncan) for proof. I hope I'm not the only one to see the humor in suggesting Rebecca Romajin to play Carol... (since she's already portrayed Mystique, one of Ms. Marvel's longest-running 616 canon adversaries).
LOL

LOL "That's what would make it an excellent casting choice. Besides the fact you will never see Ms. Marvel and Mystique in the same movie, also she already knows what it takes to play in a Marvel movie.
If I may be so bold to add to this post,
As a Ms. Marvel fan, I agree 100% about the specific nature/look/feel that Ms. Marvel would have to have in order for true fans to be satisfied (i.e. CastleKing gave a brief description in an earlier post, which I agree with as far as the "gist" ;-). So, I've been surfing though the web checking out some of the suggestions for possibles (including those mentioned in this post), and I would NEVER ever disagree with ANY of the choices for Ms. Marvel (they're ALL good choices), and I'm SOO not, but I came across an unknown actress (really unknown) and after some comparisons, I truly think she deserves a definite honest mention to have her name thrown in as a very real possibility.
Her name is Amelia Scott, and she REALLY fits the ENTIRE package (IMHO of course), but as she's unknown, the ONLY way to really judge for yourselves is to check out the MySpace page dedicated to this subject:
http://www.myspace.com/ameliascottasmsmarvel
Now, I know there's been comments made we'd expect an A-list actress, but to be honest, it'd be a real loss to not at least try to give this unknown actress a shot, especially as she really fits the bill as Ms. Marvel (again, IMHO).
" If I may be so bold to add to this post,She does look like Carol, but i doubt this will be heard by the studios, but good luck with that anyways!

" @123422: Thanks much for the vote. I know it's a long shot, but after going through so many Ms. Marvel comics, I just know this actress is a perfect fit - and most probably no one from the Hollywood world will ever hear (or see) this, but I just had to get it out there somehow (besides, you never know ;-), so thanks again. "No prob, miracles do happen so there's a chance, let's keep it positive
I think Diora Baird would be perfect! I also like the choice of Yvonne Strahovski. But first choice is Diora baird for sure!
Charlize Theron should have been Black Widow in the first place. Scarlett Johansson was disappointing in Iron Man 2.

"
her or ali larter. and of course you have to use Mystique as the villainess.

@The Englander said:Either of them would be acceptable. Neither makes me go "OMG YEAH IT'S TOTALLY HER!!1" or anything but they fit the rough visual requirements and both can act. They'd have to put on some muscle though.Ali Larter could definitely do it.
How about Yvonne Strahovski? There's been an internet petition to have her play Ms. Marvel in the Avengers
