    During Secret Avenger's tie-in with Avengers vs. X-Men, Carol turned into Binary whilst facing the Phoenix Force. How did this happen? Was it a spontaneous activation or did it result from Carol absorbing the Phoenix's energy? Thanks in advance.

    PS. Can somebody explain to me how Mar-Vell got his powers before the Nega-Bands?
