Since she was in her twenties during WW2, shouldn't she be about in her 80s or close to that?
Carol Danvers
Character » Carol Danvers appears in 4379 issues.
After encountering the Kree hero Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers was accidentally subjected to otherworldly radiation that transformed her into a superhuman warrior. Calling herself Ms. Marvel, she established herself as one of the most powerful and prominent heroes and respected member of the Avengers. She has now adopted the mantle of Captain Marvel for herself.
How old is Ms. Marvel
Ms. Marvel wasn't introduced as a character until 1977. Before that she was just Carol Danvers and was first introduced in 1968. But I would say since she's done a lot from being in the Air Force to NASA and the CIA, not to mention her time as being a super hero. Although her recent history probably puts her becoming a superhero after her time with the CIA before joining SHIELD/Avengers/XMen. So I would have to say she should probably be in her mid 30s at the very least, and even that is probably to young to have done all of that.
Agreed. I mean look at Magneto. He was in the Hollocaust, and still doesn't appear to be that old. Comic book time is way different from real time. If they aged like we do, Peter Parker be in his late 40's or 50's.

Magneto gets a free pass for being a mutant, though.

Yes, I agree. Also, in the Avengers story-arc where she gets booted-off the team for alcoholism she is shown talking to Wanda, who is eating ice cream right out of the container, commenting to her about not being able to get away with eating like that at her age and choosing to drink instead.

Seen this mistake before. You're thinking of Miss America.
Avengers Annual #10 stated Carol to be 29 years old, when Rogue attacked her.
Early to mid 30s.
@Mutant God said:Where have you heard that?
@sky-pirate: no carol was also in WW2
I thought it was common knowledge that she was in WW2, um I think Ms. Marvel Vol 1 #19 says somthing about it

If they aged like we do, Peter Parker be in his late 40's or 50's.Well at least in that one case they have some sort of explanation...when he was reduced to a baby back in the 70's by Mutant Alpha, Erik the Red went to Muir Island and re-aged him but only to his physical prime. It was their way of bringing back Magneto and amping his powers up for the new crop of X-men.
As far as Carol goes, yeah shes been around the block more then a few times even by Marvel standards (which are pretty lenient)...I like to just think that she didn't age when she was Binary so that accounts for her youthful looks now :)
In 1968, when she was first introduced into the Marvel Universe, she was an Security Chief in the U.S. Airforce. Since she was an officer we can assume she's been through college and basic training. Also, since she was the Security Chief, we can assume she'd been in the Air Force for at least a few years... Even with quick promotions, I think it'd be safe to assume she was at least 25 at that time...
NOW, we also know that Franklin Richards was born that SAME YEAR... Franklin is now TEN years old, so we can assume the Marvel Universe has progressed TEN years since Carol was first introduced into the Marvel Universe...
So, she should be about 35...
