On Earth-9997, Captain Universe merged with Captain Mar-Vell in the afterlife to help start rebuilding The Cosmic Consciousness which had been shattered to pieces by The Celestials when they accidentally destroyed The Perfect Universe. Together they convinced Adam Warlock and Kismet to conceive a new physical shell inside Kismet's womb (with a lot of help from Alicia Masters) through which Mar-Vell could co-exist in The Lands of the Living and the Dead after it was born. They also used their powers in concert with The Soul Gem to bring Susan Richards back to The Land of the Living in the new body Alicia Masters constructed from Reed Richard's arm.
Mar-Vell was Carol's motivation for being a superhero. She gained her powers when they travelled to the Kree Empire.

Tony used his vast resources and intellect to make the world a better place as The Invincible Iron Man. Stark's super hero identity led him to become a founding member of the Avengers.
