Well all the American actors with blue eyes and blonde hair are just pretty faces with no real talent

Craig has the looks, the Charisma, the talent, he can do fight scenes with the best of them

The only reason he wouldn't work is because he's British, which is where the first American settlers came from anyway

He doesn't look that old, and Cap is in his mid thirties when he joins the Avengers, which is right after they find him.

unless cap tooka few yrs of after being unfrozen the math dont add up, besides i would think the movie would be based on cap and his origin an not so much about his future adventures..

Even if it is the original, he would still be in his mid twenties.

He became Captain America before the USA joined the war, and then spent years training before he was first deployed. And he didn't get frozen until 1945, after having fought for three odd years.

imo i'd have to go with Matt Damon. he's shown that he can do great action scenes(bourne series) and he's got the acting skill to do Steve rodgers justice.

just because he was good in bourne doesn't make him qualified to play cap. Having one good movie (or series) doesn't mean jack. Everyone loved Eddie Murphy in the Nutty professor movies, but he wasn't hot stuff in Norbit.

everyone mentioned so far would not even be in the running for the job. No one at Marvel would consider any of these picks. Also I hope whoever mentioned John Cena was joking.

Paul Walker- we could do better

Christian Bale- he is not going to play another Superhero anytime soon

John Cena- OH MY GOD HOW HIS NAME EVEN CAME UP I DO NOT KNOW

Ben Affleck- No. Just no. Do another DareDevil if you want but thats it.

Everyone else mentioned is an absolute no.

John Cena as Captain America is a big no-go. He'd be a better off as John Walker, the U.S. Agent.

I doubt that they'd use the Human Torch because he's already a Marvel superhero. It'd be wierd if 2 Marvel heroes looked exactly the same.

I think that Brendan Fraser from The Mummy would be a good Captain America. I he had his hair dyed blonde for the film, then it'd be a spitting image of Steve Rogers.

@Moomin123: you know that would be an good pick. He was good in the mummy. Just have to look past him playing a caveman in a Paulie Shore movie, but he's grown past those roles.

I take back my Brendan Fraser idea. I think John Barrowman (he's expressed interest in the role) or Matt Damon. Randy Orton from WWE would make a good Cap as well. Mark Wahlberg would be good (I wanted him to play Hal Jordan in the new Green Lantern film, but since that's out of the question he might as well have a shot at Cap).

Basically, any of these people will be an awesome Cap in my perspective.

I am casting my bid for Jensen Ackles... he has the right look ffor the Job, plus he is a pretty talented actor.  Supernatural is a really good show and I think he has the screen presence to boss around Thor and  Iron Man.

I want someone who can act for this role.  This is a period piece set in the 1940s, so I want someone convincingly enough to do this.  More importantly, when they  do the Aengers movie whoever is playing that role has to keep the same mind set as a 1940s American in Modern Time.  I can't stress how important this is for the Avengers Movie.
