With Steve back, the question was, who would be Captain America. We had the "Who Will Wield The Shield?" comic. We know that Steve has a reason for wanting Bucky to remain Captain America. That's fine. I accept that but I will still and always consider Steve to be "Captain America" (meaning the "Captain America" page here is still Steve's as far as I'm concerned). I like letting Bucky explore the role of Cap a little longer but I feel someday Steve will return to the costume.
Now that he's back, he won't just sit around and do nothing. I thought he would be taking over leadership of a newly restructured S.H.I.E.L.D. It wasn't what I really wanted but I felt it made sense with Norman and HAMMER's time close to an end. Whether or not that happens remains to be seen but we do know that Steve will be a " Secret Avenger." I do like this idea as I want to see him in action rather than sitting in a big chair in front of a bunch of video screens commanding a bunch of troops.
What will he wear since he's given up the Captain America identity? He gets a nifty blue jumpsuit with a big star on the chest. I've mentioned it a couple times lately, I'm not a fan. I know the Captain America costume is kind of tacky or flashy but it's a classic. This new look doesn't do much for me. Also I'm not sure how I feel over the lack of a mask. I suppose he doesn't need one but besides providing a more interesting visual, it's something that he's always done. Perhaps I warm up to his new look. For now, I'm simply unimpressed. What do you think of his new look?
