Captain America
Character » Captain America appears in 11750 issues.
During World War II, Steve Rogers volunteered to receive the experimental Super-Soldier Serum. Enhanced to the pinnacle of human physical potential and armed with an unbreakable shield, he became Captain America. After a failed mission left him encased in ice for decades, he was found and revived by the Avengers, later joining their ranks and eventually becoming the team's leader.
If Christopher Nolan made a Captain America film?
I think he would make it his own similar to what he did with the Batman character it would work as a film as opposed to a comic book movie.
A shield inside a shield.
Nah, I don´t want to think about that, Cap is awesome the way he is now.
Yeah. The Winter Soldier was one of the best comic book films. But Nolan would help flesh out the character more.
Cap would do husky voices
It would be incredible. It would focus more on societies relationship with Captain America. It would probably question the morality of black operations, and the use of drugs on American soldiers. And at the very least, it would have given us a more developed and a better delivered Red Skull.
The greater the villain, the greater the hero. And after watching The Prestige, Batman Begins, And The Dark Knight, I have no doubt in my mind that the director in question could have delivered.

This.
And The Prestige is probably Nolan's most underrated movie.

The Prestige isn't underrated. It's in the IMDb and Reddit Top 250.

He would've delivered on a great standalone film, but a Captain America film that doesn't resemble Captain America.
@saint_samantha: Well in general when people are talking about Nolan's movies The Prestige hardly gets any recognition.
Ah yes. Lets hate on one of the best and most consistent directors in modern times now.
Stay classy comicvine

Not generally. Just on Comic Vine.
No, no thank you. He is a top filmmaker, but no. I would however wished someone else directed the first one. Joe Johnston is a mediocre director. They should have gotten someone better.

I don't see a problem with the thread or people saying he can't do something. He is an amazing director, but he is not without his pitfalls.
@fallschirmjager: Yup lol it's because he was involved with DC products hehe.

Hate? Where? I see no hatred here, he is an awesome director but his style and how he views things just wouldn't be right for the Captain America character.

Stop baiting and trying to force an unnecessary Marvel vs DC debate.
well at least this thread shows feats are more important than story
The battle forums in a sentence.
The SSS would have been grounded in reality and made a permanent steroid type deal. Cap wouldn't have been super human but thankfully the people he fought against would go down without being hit.

Captain America isn't the type of character Nolan could handle effectively.
My gawd that Avengers costume sucks lol

He could make Cap more realistic , probably depict his struggles with society , struggles with self , make the movie more about war struggles and the fights would be more realistic instead of cap being able to lift a full speed motorcycle
Nolan does his best with characters like Cap and Batman
Cap would have NO feats!
@buttersdaman000: Chris Evans didn't even like it. Lol
