If Steve is at the pinnacle of human potential, the next stage in human evolution, than surely characters that come from the future such as kang should all have physicals similar to Cap. Just wondering if anyone had evidence of this.

You are correct there have been none to my knowledge that have shown feats of super-ness on Steve's exact level.

But that could just mean they have not traveled that far enough into the future to see it?

    Pretty much this.

That's because that's not what "peak of human potential" means.

Could be for sure. For all we know it could be way into the future before we see any normal human develop Steve's abilities. The good doctor at times did call Steve. The "Perfect" Human as also the Doc stated," The next step in human evolution."

I imagine without having the mutant X gene nor a hybrid mutation. Steve seems to be a unique anomaly for sure.

True. And I am not sure if Kang is the best example to use since he has alternate timeline versions of himself or whatnot.

@jayc1324: ed brubaker: My take has always been that Cap is the peak of human POTENTIAL. What humans might someday be able to do, physically, he already can. If it was just about having an olypic-level athlete, do you really think all these groups and scientists would have been wasting 50plus years trying to replicate the SSS?

@lensnart: Eh, that's just one writer who didn't even create cap. Characters change over time. But the fact that future humans don't have his skills should show that.

Nope Ed Brubaker did "not" come up with the idea that the SSS takes you to the next step in human evolution. Another writer did and Ed just followed through and used it. So that is more then one writer. As it was also the writer Mark Gruenwald that stated the phrase the peak of human "potential".
